what!!! May 12??? OMG,,i cant believe it!

maxx99..where did you get "supposedly 60-70% decisions have been released and they will release the rest anytime until May 12"?

If that is true..that really really sucks.

OMG that would suck balls.

may 12th, thats just RUDE!

and yes where did you get this informaiton from ?

that would be really sad.....another 2 weeks of misery if i have to wait until may 12th....stupid comm. department needs to hury up

This is total BS. May 12th, are you kidding me>

ahahahahah omg.. this so sucks.

from the main thread:

"If this helps...decisions have not all been made...

I am on UCLA CCCP (center for community college partnerships)'s mailing list because of a summer program I did, and on wednesday after a couple of people sent an e-mail to the group announcing their acceptance, Santiago Bernal, the director replied:

"Congratulations! Yes, they have decisions for about 60 to 70 percent

of the applicants and will continue to post more decisions all the way until May 12..." "

If comm department people "simply pick the top 80 gpas", then what is taking them so long? That should take less than a day..if that!..to do.

So annoying..

I hate this crap. All this date stuff is meaningless, they hold us to definate dates when it comes to our applications but they can act like drunk drivers when it comes to our decisions.

omg may 12th .. thats seriously just like making me mad right now.

they should have just realeased no decisions at all.

and even berkeley is able to realease them all on one day so why does ucla want to wait until may 12th

i hope the ucla web site goes down soon today...which would probably mean they are updating......please temporarily be unavailable before 5

dude. that is bull crap. May 12th? Might as well jsut reject me now, I can't wait that long.

I just an email from the alumni Association with the subject:

"Don't Miss Out! $4,000 Merit-based Scholarships Available To Transfer Students "

a reminder to apply for the scholarship soon

Heh, I really wish it was updated daily =

maxx99: where do we apply for these scholarships?

yeah, what's up with that, it says they would update daily, but nothing...

didn't they do something like this last year? i remember reading stuff about people getting rejected to Berekely FIRST and then finding out they were accepted to UCLA? Berkeley is going to release all decisions on may 1st right?

i think it is another day that we go without any decisions......blah

Citan, you can access the info at this link:
http://www.uclalumni.net/Scholarships/apply/transfer.cfm

Eligibility is minimum gpa of 3.75. Go to that link and download the application for more information and instructions. Application needs to be postmarked by MAY 5, 2006 so hurry. And you don't need a personal invite from an alumni to be eligible.

Oh, and if you have a 4.0 gpa, you'll probably want to skip this scholarship and do the Regents instead if you haven't already.

This is bull. I might not even get into LA and I'm applying for a scholarship. The least they can do is let us know whether or not we're in or not before filling out a arduous application to get money for a school we might not be going to. BULLCRAP.
