I just returned from an honors econ class to find that everyone but myself has been accepted with an average gpa of 3.4. I have a 3.87 and find myself asking why my decision is still pending...how do easy is it to appeal?

hey allie..

Thanks for making your appearance at this very stressful time. :) You mentioned how all comm decisions are released at the same time, but there has already been some comm rejections. Also, I know the gpa is the most important thing, so why the **** are they taking so long to pick the top 80 applicants? It's so frustrating!

Anyway, thanks again for reassuring all of us that we will be ok..oh, I hope HOPE you're right. :)

Tallkell, i'm sure you will get your decision sometime tomm. Congratulations on your admission success already and goodluck with the ucla decision.

go allie, she is the mvp of this thread.

thanks allie. you have calmed me down for now.

thanks Sandkicks...I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

hey, how much impact does not having all your preqs done count?

right now i am worried that since i am missing 2 i am going to get rejected.

malishka31 - are you missing the prereq's totally or you are finishing them this spring term? what is your major?

allie,

im new to this site, and am freaking out a little (well, a lot...). you made me feel better. thank you.

i am a Math/Econ Major and i am missing two preq

Linear and Differntial Math.

That is based on my last instituation of attendance, overall i am missing 4 preqs but my current CC doesnt have the other 2. Even though other CCs in my area do have 1 of the other 2.

Allie, you should be a therapist.

Malishka, If you have the required courses, but missing some of the recomended courses, u're fine. i was missing physics and took my one and only earth science class last fall.

I think u're fine... I think 90% sure if ur major is not impacted and u have ur required prereqs, and english classes, u should get admitted.

good luck.

well i am missing two of the assit courses.

malishka, my major didn't even have an assist articulation.

For ur majors, it's a little different, i dunno why, but for most majors, on UCLA admissions website the requirements are broken down into "required" and "recommended". The recommended stuff is still required, but it doesn't u hurt AS MUCH if u don't have it done.

This stuff is also UCLA's transfer guideliness booklet, i dunno how to find it online, i have a paper version...

The website is a little bit different from the ucla's transfer guideliness booklet, but has the same info for my major.

I didn't have the recommended Physics thing, whihc is still a requirement for graduation.

well according to that, for math majors it says "two years of calc" and then macro micro for the math/econ one,

the other two my school doesnt have.

i had a dream i got into UCLA, i am just goint to accept my physic powers and go with that.
lol

did another batch come out by any chance yet, i just got online. ... havent checked yet

i don't think so...been checking... nothing yet so i don't think there is anything new

i just checked, nothing for me either

I really hope and kind of EXPECT for them to update today.

Especially since they will not be updating on the weekends.

anyone get any new information from ucla.....by telephone or by looking at any other threads about when the rest of admission info is supposed to come out......this sucks

supposedly 60-70% decisions have been released and they will release the rest anytime until May 12
