UCLA Transfer App Still Under Review

Hate to be a downer but Im not too hopeful on this weekend only because of the Holiday.

@TT4UCOSBEL‌ Oh I wasn’t paying attention to the next fall part haha.

I was neither accepted/rejected yet so that last line in the email gives me some hope for acceptance but I don’t know.

They’ve sent emails to students to apply for the alumni scholarship before and some of those students were rejected. Why would they say see you next fall!?!!

T_T

Guys! I just got accepted, no longer under review
@mik194 @shugahs

Congrats!!!

Congrats @OCaptnMyCaptn‌ that is amazing!!

Im not going to look until after work today, otherwise Ill be on the verge of rejection tears all day!!

Anybody else check it out yet?

@OCaptnMyCaptn‌ What are your stats? GPA and major? Also, is your username a reference to the poem or to Dead Poets Society?

I didn’t bother checking since I, too, was afraid, but then I got an email about financial assistance from UCLA, which meant I was admitted. They spoiled the surprise for me, but I did get in so I shouldn’t be complaining about something I’d feel momentarily.

@BurntCorpse‌ Stats please ? :D

@Flowerchild747, I’m glad to see you just liked my picture on instagram haha xD

I posted my stats on the 1st page of this thread (whoops no I didn’t) and yes it is a reference to Dead Poets Society.

Pre History
3.63 UC GPA
4.0 Major GPA
IGETC
TAP Certified

@flowerchild747‌

3.79-3.8 gpa, phil major, missing 2/3 prereqs, igetc certified, no tap, some volunteer hours in highschool, a horribly written essay about experiencing nirvana while on a summer trip (I saw a magical butterfly that touched my soul. Literally.)

@Shugahs‌ I got waitlisted :(

Does this mean Cal is a definite no for me?

Rejected :/

@campfireweekend‌ no it doesnt, cause UCLA accepts people mostly based on the numbers like GPA and number of pre-reqs and stuff. while the more subjective stuff like personal statements, EC’s, adversity/life situations, …ect play a more significant role in decision making at UC Berkeley. No worries im sure you still have a shot! :slight_smile: just 6 more days! :)

Who is still under review?

i got rejected 6 hr’s ago from biz-econ.

I got waitlisted. damn. well, has anyone had experience with this before?

"Yes, I accept the Waitlist Option for UCLA. I understand that this is not a guarantee of an offer of admission, but rather an opportunity to be considered for admission if space permits for additional Fall Quarter 2014 applicants after June 1.

OPTIONAL: You may provide your fall semester grades, your spring course schedule, and/or any additional information you wish to provide (max 7000 characters)"

I do have some additional information regarding my Fall grade decrease (injury)

would this be the place to say it? or should i file an appeal?

I am calling on the spirit of @Cayton to guide me

@mikmac‌

I’ll try to help anyway I can. I think appeals are for those who’ve been rejected…you technically haven’t been rejected, yet. I think you should provide information about your coursework in the hope that it’ll help you get accepted off of the waitlist.

I’m not sure how many people are accepted from the waitlist, though. You might want to do some research on that. Good luck.

And I can’t believe I’ve become the go-to guy for all questions related to UCLA. lol. :P

Got rejected this morning, but I was expecting it. Congrats to all that got in!

still under review… good or bad thing?

Mine is still under review as well I’m scared
