<p>This is seriously super unprofessional. The school should have made sure that decisions were released at the same time, they surely are aware of the consternation this is causing the “in review” students. </p>

<p>How did you get wait-listed for that major? It’s unimpacted and your GPA is way over the average for it. Did you complete all the pre-reqs for it?</p>
<p>@cayton Am I wait-listed? When I check the status of my application, it just says that “they are currently reviewing my application.” I’m currently finishing 3 prereq’s. </p>
<p>That doesn’t mean waitlisted. It just means they’re still eating ice cream and watching you squirm as you wait for your acceptance</p>

<p>If you don’t have any obligations (e.g. work, dating, taking care of a child), I highly recommend something that may be considered crude and vulgar. All it requires is your hand and some lubricant. Preferably petroleum jelly, but I find any liquid substance to be of tremendous help (e.g. lotion, water, tears, etc).</p>

<p>Nothing changed on my end (still pending). I’ve been iffy about wanting to go to UCLA anyways, but I’d still like to know. Not excited for the mad rush of deciding where to go. (Still waiting on UCB, USC and Northwestern, but applied there for lulz). </p>
<p>Going to leave this post as reference for any future applicants in this situation. Yes, UCLA does update SOME applications on the weekend for those who are still under review.</p>
