Don’t ask what thread it was but I remember last week I read how a guy didn’t see any of the signs and was accepted!

@ pinkfish13

Housing is super expensive. Anything in LA is expensive, if its not in an area where there are bars on the windows. Heck, some of the bars have bars on them!

There are a few cases where people who didn’t see it were accepted and where people who saw it were rejected HOWEVER the vast majority who saw it was accepted and the vast majority who did not was rejected

Guys when you talk about seeing the major, is that only if you made a myucla account? Because I’ve only been checking with the transfer admissions page and my major isn’t showing up :’(

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1327563-2012-ucla-transfer-decisions-only-trick-thread-4.html?highlight=ucla+2012+transfer
I think that’s the thread Semifinal is refering to, and actually only pages 1-4 are results from last year. The rest are just people from this year commenting about it. I don’t think I saw anyone who had the signs and didn’t get in. I did see people who didn’t have the signs and got in. So I think if you have the signs it’s a positive indicator but there’s really no negative indicator :)

Also I think a better sign will be later when our major disappears and it goes to “blank” then our “major” + “admit” :)

^ Yes you need to do the summer session trick to see it, not from the admission page.

go to the link in comment #1245, and follow those instructions. It may be on comment #164.

Good Luck

Thanks guys for your quick responses there’s only three more days until the decision comes so I think i’ll just suck it up and pray it out from here. I don’t want to give myself any false hope.

I wish people had posted their stats on that old thread

^ haha same then we wouldn’t have to go creeping! we can make sure we do that this year for people next year!

do you guys think we’ll get our financial aid as soon as we’re accepted? I turned in FAFSA early.

Hey guys! How do you see your major being listed? btw, I keep checking my award, it just doesn’t say anything. Although I was able to log on to my.ucla.edu, and i got an email address from them!

I still believe in the banner

I’ve been searching through different 2011 and 2012 threads, so far I’ve only seen one instance of someone having their major come up (actually their 2nd choice appeared, not their first) and being rejected.

Though for people who haven’t seen it, there are people who didn’t see it and got accepted

@franknguyen it’s on the myUCLA home page on the upper right hand corner, under your name, after you’ve logged in.

note: if you only created an URSA account today/did the summer trick today, URSA and MyUCLA update every day at 3am, you wouldn’t be able to see it until tomorrow

@almalex5 lol props to you!

@xmathx

I was able to see my financial aid for UC Davis like half an hour before I got accepted so maybe the same thing will happen with UCLA

I created my ursa last week. And can you clarify a little bit more about the summer trick?

Good Luck

@UCdrone I am hoping to find a place thats like 500-600 a month shared room and stuff so lets see what happens. Also it got me thinking, but why wouldn’t our majors show up earlier and show up now only explanation is that they processed our application and admitted us to that school. Otherwise, it would show summer session like before or it would show our majors the day we applied to the school, but since it changed maybe they just processed it. Hence majority of the people on this thread are seeing a change.

I like the way you think, but I just can’t make myself feel positive. I don’t want people to confuse my enthusiasm for an eventual acceptance, I’m just keeping Hope alive, LOL :)
