UCLA Transfer Orientation Roll Call - Session 201 Fri. July 14

I do have positive impressions about fellow transfer students. Everyone seemed quite friendly. I made conversations w/ a lot of people around me. Although, I ate w/ only my SMC friends.

A lot of very motivated students, but still also a lot of students who don't really care and expressed that their ccc didn't provide quality education.

lunch was.. well...interesting...but dinner wasn't that bad. The pasta was pretty good actually.

I feel it was a waste of time...they could have made that whole thing 3 hours long and i could have still gotten the same amount of information. I wish they had more stuff on clubs also... oh well.

Everyone get their classes they wanted?

Yep 3-4 hrs would have been really more than enough.

lunch was crappy...dinner was good. atleast I enjoyed it. I hated the fact that they restricted us to have the food only once at lunch. dinner was free for all.

and that annoying chick announcer from ASUCLA needed to ****....

I didn't really meet that many people because I didn't know anyone there. I talked to some EE people though...it was good that they grouped us according to our major. even our orientation counselor was an EE major. noone really seemed extra motivated though...pretty normal just like me. and going from kerckhoff to covel sucked ass...me and this other guy were walking and we got lost. we even asked some people but they didn't seem to know jack **** either.

the north campus was beautiful....the south campus looked like crap.

I got all the classes I wanted...I feel sorry for the people with August dates

i also thought it was a big waste of time from like 2-8

the speeches were nice.

the way they had us pic our classes was HORRIBLE! they should have provided people with either computers or a print out, for 110 dollars they can aford to print out the schedule.

i had my bf log in for me at exactly 8pm and register, bc i needed econ 11 and a specific section of it that only had 5 seats left, i got really lucky to get my courses.... a lot of people in my group did not get the courses they wanted

oddly enough i though there was a lot of attractive men on campus, and usually the guys are always ugly. Most of the girls were unappleaing, and had no tits, but than again, its not i that would have to date or do them so whatever floats your boat guys.

orientation was helpful and somehwat fun, and i really liked givingmyself the campus tour........ but i hated walking to covel area and then back to the parking lots, .............. that was like the worst part of the day. the food is good i guess, i mean they should have other options besides carb based food.

my primary negative view point was that awful way of choosing clases that took up the whole time for me, i wasnt even able to go to any workshops that seemed intresting to me.

the free stuff was nice.

I actually went to the graduation school workshop....total waste of time...the majority of the time was spent on the guy's life

the free stuff sucked....

Lemme ask u guys what free stuff did u receive?

Anyhow, I feel i should get a refund lol. My dept counselor who only has like 12 students in the dept didn't even bother to show up.

The student trained counselor just looked at my dpr, could have done it myself.

Spent 12 hrs on campus doing pretty much nothing.

oddest thing is that they didn't even bother to conduct a tour of the campus. It was kinda hot, but what kind of a college orientation doesnt have a tour.

ya i would have liked a tour...i also would have liked to see my housing.

my departmental councelor and student councelor were really good and explained all the requirments and stuff thouroughly.

i guess you guys just had sucky people

Does anyone know if a parent can come to the UCLA transfer orientation?
