UCLA, UCI, UCBerkeley?

Not really any other UC I am worried about. I do not really want to apply to UCSD, and I already got a UCDavis letter.

I am average and I'm worried about my chances.

Ethnicity: Hispanic, Mexican.
California Resident
First-Generation. Both my parents only went to elementary.
Single-Parent Household.
Income: Less than 10k a year.

Class ranks: 2/670

SATII
Come in tomorrow. I do not expect ultra high scores except for Spanish.

AP Scores

AP World History - 3
AP US History - 2

In Progress:
AP Spanish (Expect a 5, not that it would matter...)
AP Stats
AP GOV/AP ECON
AP Physics

Not many EC...

10-12 Key Club
9-11 German Club
CSF 11-12

My Personal Statements...
1- My religious growth
2- Perseverance... I tried to kill myself when I was younger.

PS: I will not retake SATs or ACT... Nothing, sadly.

Bump, Bump, :3

Zoom , Bump, Kick :D

Not much chance unless you improve your SAT scores…

I ask because two friends of mine got into UCLA and the other to UCBerkeley. The ones that got into UCLA has SATs around 1600 (One was muslim, the other Mexican) and the guy that go into Berkley got a 1790 (He is Mexican, too).

No more UCI, I already got guaranteed admissions.
SAT II:
Spanish (800), Math II (700), Biology (600)

I really hope that I get into UCLA, but I try to stay realistic…

Bump :3 UCI not needed anymore!

Bump~ Just UCLA and UCB =)

Nobody can predict if you get in or not but you look like you have a solid chance. Apply and hope for the best, it’s all we can do =]

Your GPA is good but you need higher scores for UCLA and Berkley. Both are reaches. Chance back? Though, I do think the fact that you’re 1st generation and mexican will help. Uc is looking for more caucasian and hispanic students.

There are certainly many with lesser stats than yours and similar circumstances that get into the top UCs. Here’s one story:

[For an illegal immigrant, getting into UCLA was the easy part - Los Angeles Times](UCLA said yes. Now, the hard part.)

But with your profile I’d focus on good private colleges that meet 100% of need. Good luck!
