UCLA URSA FinAid UP 2010

oh no nvm. after i press single undergrad student, i am getting the error that says my enrollment is still unsure… :(

I found this

“hey won’t be released on the weekend or before 5:00 pm on the weekdays this year…called UCLA admissions and asked the guy what he can legally tell me b/c he said that was told not to disclose any specific information from his superiors.”

I dug around and someone posted this last year. This means that today (weekday) they won’t release before 5pm. So if they do come out today it will be after 5. And, they won’t come out on weekends.

good info thanks vintij

Interesting. I just got home from work. I’ve been refreshing CC on my blackberry all day trying to get information from you all! ha ha. If I saw a “UCLA Decisions Posted!” thread, I would have ran to the apple store at my mall and checked! ha ha.

^lol thats dedication right there!!!

It’s after 5PM…

Guys look.

http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/7537/uclaaa.jpg

I found this link on this site from last year. Everyone said that if you get these two columns on URSA, you are IN. And yes, it should come out before actual admissions.

Wait… on URSA, everyone can see the Work-Study info and Job Bulletin, right? I can’t see financial aid, but I can see that. :(

Vintij- Has anyone seen the two columns yet, or is everyone still at 3 like myself?

I don’t think there are any restrictions on seeing the work-study.

ya everyone can pretty much see the work-study stuff and job stuff

So far nobody can see 2 columns. But if you have actual dollar information in your efal or financial aid page, it is a VERY good sign. In fact, it means your in. If you don’t, you can’t worry because they update those every day until the 30th.

hey i dont know if someone answered this but i tried to see my financial aid for 2010-2011 but it says it hasn’t been received or nothing is there. But I checked to make sure that UCLA was my first choice for FAFSA…was there a mistake? thanks

i’ve read a couple times that you can put colleges down as your first choice on the fafsa? is this true? i put ucla in the first column, but i’d rather go to cal than ucla…

lintij what do you click on to get that screen?

ok so my total financial need is at $18,000, how much exactly will that be covered? anyone know?

@lakerforever…here is some info that should answer your question–on average 80% of your financial need

Average percent of need met: 80%
Average financial aid package: $15,075
Average need-based loan: $5,360
Average need-based scholarship or grant award: $12,017
Average non-need based aid: $5,511
Average indebtedness at graduation: Not reported

That would be ■■■■■■■■ iambeowulf710. Why don’t we just study numerology and astrology too while we are at it? LOL. That is so random. I doubt they’re like “hey, he put UCLA first so he must want to go that school and we should reject him.” :)

Doesn’t someone know somebody from admissions that can give us the inside scoop.

on my financial aid it says the financial aid office hasn’t received my financial aid application…even though i sent it really early? does this mean anything? it seems like you guys are getting financial aid info…help please. I checked to make sure that ucla was on my fafsa correctly and it is. much appreciated!

^ no… only few of CCers got their financial info (2-3 people) rest of us still nothing
