So UCLA Freshmen decisions came out today. Anyways, a lot of them noticed the SIR and Financial decisions were up on URSA early. It seemed like this was happening last year also for Transfer students. I wasn't around last year at this time and it seems like UCLAri was purging all the "trick" threads people posted on the transfer forums.

The two websites that seemed to be accurate when it comes to leaked info is URSA/myUCLA. Here is a step-by-step to access these sites.

Your login will now allow you to access URSA, myFAO, and myUCLA. Please understand that it will probably be about another month before ANYTHING changes on these sites for transfer students, relax and don't nearly have a heart attack like missyujin.

I am hoping that we can be orderly this year around the time UCLA decisions for transfer students are released. ( lol, it will probably bedlam again this year. )

One last thing, if any forum posters from last year would like to chime in when SIRs and Financial Aid Summaries started showing up for transfer students, that would be appreciated.

beardy, that is the official decision site. I was just posting the other sites which seemed to implicitly leak decisions about admissions early.

I made a username and password a few days ago before i had the ability to see my 9 digit ID number, and now that I have it I need to make a completely new one. Is this a problem and will they have me under two different usernames because I selected the option for basically other when doing it the first time instead of new student so it didn't give me access to anything but general stuff.

I was around here last year and yeah, this let you see if you were accepted a few hours before the decisions were officially released, so it's not that big of a deal. It probably just caused more anxiety, as the people who were not accepted this way started to panic and made the people who were accepted second guess themselves. For future reference, if you get on myucla and it says accepted, your name, and major, or on ursa it gives you the option to SIR, you're in.

Jetforce what do you mean seen financial aid ?? Is that the awards section ...mine for UCD shows the grant amount i received but it still says i have to accept SIR to proceed....

will the user name we chose be our email address once we get accepted. For example, if my user name is johndoe1, will my email be johndoe1@ucla.edu once we are admitted?

There will be a leak, just hold your horses. It will occur around mid-April when they start posting the admissions contracts. It is expected they will have all the pages ready for all transfers when they announce the official results. As such they post them in advance so acceptance can be done on the day you receive your official admission.

Oh, just found this thread. I was in the process of making it myself.

What it comes down to is, if you have access to myucla, you can see your sir, or you can see your finaid, you are accepted. If you can't, it means nothing either way.

K, GUYS MY FINANCIAL AID INFO HAS CHANGED. IT NOW SAYS THIS, I MIGHT BE AHEAD OF MYSELF, BUT DOES THIS MEAN SOMETHING!??!!?! BEFORE TODAY IT DID NOT LET ME HAVE ACCESS TO SEEING THE 2009-2010 YEAR.

If you have any questions about your financial aid or your “My FAO” information please contact the Financial Aid Office at finaid@saonet.ucla.edu or call 310-206-0400.

I checked my status at MyFAO today: 3/23/2009 4:09:54 PM.

sweetnezz, I'm getting the same thing too today after not being able to view it, and I also got a letter in the mail inviting me to the open house so I THINK this might be good news for us both (hopefully!)

Hey sweetnezz, myFAO also changed. Before it said something in red like "no award for this period" or something... Now i notice the No Request/FA Document Track. I can also check that the housing, billing, summer ect.

I don't want to get my hopes up because this seems a bit pre-mature. We also need to keep calm and collected. Other people will feel panic if they don't see this and this might not mean anything at all. Let's get some more feedback and hopefully we can shed some light on this change.

it also says this when you click on access trough the financial aid document tracking option, which means that it is for people who have gotten in i am assuming but they can't see the numbers yet because the SIR hasn't been submitted. maybe my hopes are up but this is looking good to me.

Document tracking functionality is available only to continuing UCLA students and to admitted students, who have completed their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR).
