i sent in my verification form and filled out the part with the living expenses and my family spent X amount of dollars and on my fafsa it shows up that UCLA changed it and under the section that says "untaxed income or benefits" the X amount of dollars of our living expenses showed up. Is this even right? How is our living expenses counted as untaxed income or benefits?? and because of this my efc rose from 0 to 20,000. when my parents made less than our living expenses. did this happen to anyone on their verification form and fafsa? did ucla make a mistake?

ehh I had to fill out that form too. Dependent Verification right? I just sent it today so I haven’t heard from them yet, but I hope that doesn’t happen to me.

Do they have everyone send in a verification form, or is it just a select few?

they just select some people. they’ll notify you if you need to send it in. it should say on your fao if you need to send it in
