Having spent two years in Urbana, I can assure you that I'm not being mean! Just truthful! ;) You've got some great options in the other programs you've been admitted to. You'll end up with a really good education.

Chabos4, after receiving your rejection from UIUC, I am sure you were burst into tears..:P

Congratulations neighbor:)(I'm from Turkiye), for MIT and the others:)

For Berkeley, have you tried to e-mail a professor of the structural eng. program? I have applied to EPM MSc of Berkeley and I haven't heard a word from the admissions office since Jun 15.. I have e-mailed an Epm professor and he told be that I was recommeneded for admission with 18k tuition and fee waivers.. This gave me some hope:)

Just give it a chance and e-mail a couple of profs..

i got waitlisted from San Diego ..

Thank you so much gokcenk!
Congrats on Berkeley!
What other colleges did you apply to? Have you heard from most of them??

I applied to U Texas Austin and got accepted with 9k tuition waivers.. MSc Consruction Eng. and project management

I got rejected from University of Maryland MSc Project Management(who cares:))

I also got accepted to Arizona State and Michigan State Construction management programs.. Two safety schools

My current choice is Austin, but I am waiting for the official letter from Berkeley:) If I am accepted, I'll go to Berkeley:)

Other than these, I also applied to TU Delft in Netherlands and got accepted.. MSc Management of Technology.

I got admitted into Berkeley and MIT, if funding isn't an issue, which would be the better choice? Berkeley is more known in the field but MIT has the bigger wow factor

freezingbum, you applied to CE MSc or PHD right? Both are excellent schools, congrats:)

If I were you, I would look through the student profiles of the programs, transportation ways etc. and choose the school that I will be enjoying myself the most..

i just got a rejection from Stanford..by normal post..no email

so now i just wait for Berkeley and USC..

@ freezingbum..what date did you get your Berkeley admission?

I would choose Berkeley for sure :).. its the 1st one and its in a great place.. especially if you are not used to cold! Congrats..

civeng, to which program did you apply at berkeley?

i applied for PhD in structural engineering mechanics and materials

I hope you get your admission soon:))

A Friend of mine told me that last year she was offered admission from Berkeley (construction management Phd) at April 15 !!

April 15th,

Oh my Allah:)

anyone got anything from berkeley?

nothin yet…

I got admitted to UC berkeley civil eng. EPM MS with 17.5k tuition and fee waivers :)
