<p>Hey Everyone, So I got into UCLA and CAL, but am now left with the troubling task of deciding which school to attend? I was wondering if there were any nor cal ppl who got into CAL and UCLA, and decided to go to UCLA (since most of us ppl here end up going to CAL, but I'm leaning towards UCLA). Do you regret your decision? Are you happy at UCLA? Pleae help me decide everyone. UCLA or Cal??? Thank you.</p>
<p>My daughter is also dealing with the same dilemma. She's leaning toward UCLA because the campus felt "happier" and the surrounding location seemed safer (but perhaps Berkeley is a bit more "interesting"). She also liked how the UCLA dorms were all close together. When we visited she was relieved to see very few dolled-up Malibu Barbies. I'm amazed that more NorCal people don't go to UCLA- it seems a friendlier, warmer, dynamic place whereas Berkeley has a bit of a downbeat and beaten down feel to it. However, most of her friends seem to be choosing Berkeley (if they have the choice).</p>
<p>i didnt get in to Cal but i wouldnt have wanted to go there even if i did. pretty much the reasons listed above. UCLA just has a much better "feel" than Cal does.</p>
<p>i'm not from norcal, but there ARE a ton of norcal people here at UCLA, and a lot of them like it here. i guess most people do end up at Cal, but do note that there's still a lot of norcal people who choose UCLA. i'd say norcal people make up about 40-45% of the UCLA students from california.</p>
