If you have an Far Eastern academic focus, then being on the Pacific Coast makes sense.
Emory has much smaller class-size, and its creative writing really focuses on students. Emory may not have that great Asian influence, but its Chinese and Korean student population is significantly large, compared to many east coast schools. For your undergraduate, you have Natasha Trethewey and Kevin Young as your faculties, and I know that it is hard to even get a class in UCLA. If budget is not an issue, go for Emory
