My D is in her last quarter at UCLA, graduating early, and also went abroad for a quarter. She is heavy in her acting classes, doing the “casting workshop” gearing up for the “showcase” for the seniors and winding down. She has taken classes at UCLA, BADA and LAMDA and tells me her acting classes at UCLA were probably the best, although her movement and “text” classes in London were wonderful. My D took advantage of the film school and did several undergrad and graduate films, as well as an internet series. She also had a chance to be in several theatre productions on campus, but she is a film/television actor. She is also “intellectual” which is one of the reasons she chose UCLA and is graduating with honors. I don’t think she suffered any from budget cuts. She is glad the graduate program is no more because more attention is given the undergrads. She has met many wonderful people, and learned alot in the core program. I’m sure NYU is fantastic. But for her, as a Californian, it would have been prohibitively expensive.

Chrissyblu, Did your D attend BADA in the summer? I am interested in hearing about the program. Please feel free to email me. Thanks,
