UCLA vs. UC Berkeley vs. Northwestern vs. McGill

Hi everyone! So I recently got accepted into four top tier colleges and am having quite a hard time picking which one I will attend next fall. The four schools are McGill, Northwestern, UCLA, and UC Berkeley!

There are many factors in my decision, so here are some of them.

  1. I applied as a Physics major to all four of these schools, but in addition to a top tier physics program I also want a top tier
    mathematics, and computer science program.
  2. I am a California resident. So the UCs will be a lot cheaper than they would be if I were out of state.
  3. If I were just looking for a fantastic STEM program then I would probably choose UC Berkeley, but I also play a lot of jazz
(it is one of my passions). Even though I will not be majoring in Jazz, it is very important to me to have access to take
classes high quality classes on music theory and composition, and to be able to participate in some ripping big bands and
    combos!
  4. While I am not opposed to having large class sizes, I don’t want class sizes to be so large that I end up getting lost in the
crowd and not getting research opportunities.
  5. I like cold weather! I have lived in SoCal for my entire life, and to be honest I find the constant sunlight to be just too hot
for me. Some people may think that I’m a bit crazy for this part.
  6. I want to go to a college that has a community of very intelligent, and driven people that are simply at school to learn and
better themselves as people. This one is pretty idealistic, but is something that I am hoping for in college.
  7. Now, the decision will also come down to financial aid, but at the moment I am unsure of the aid that I will receive for
Northwestern, and McGill (UCLA and UC Berkeley are the same price).

I am having quite a hard time deciding so any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
