UCLA vs. UCSD (better major)

Hey, I'm stressed out and I need help!

I got accepted as a transfer to UCSD with a Chemical Engineering major at the college of Nanotechnology. I also got accepted to UCLA with a Chemistry/Materials Science major at the college of Chemistry (I didn't have enough pre-reqs to apply for engineering).

I think chemical engineering is better than chemistry/materials science in terms of pay, especially since I want to get a bachelor's degree only.

How much better than UCSD is UCLA? How much better than Chemistry/Materials Science is Chemical Engineering?

Any advice would be appreciated.
Please, help me choose!

I would take chem engineering. I would have tried for UCLA chem engineering also. You might as well gave it a shot instead of going for chem.

A BS in chem is a BS in chem even if it is from UCLA. I would say go for it if you are planning to go to med school or something. But if you are looking just for employment with just a BS, then chem engineering would do you a lot better.

hello, everyone. this is qian. i am a coming freshman to ucsd. i think i met one problem. i do not understand what is the joint major of math and economics? what is that for? can anyone explain that to me? and can anyone tell me if i study the joint major can i apply the MBA in the future time? will that be hard for me? what is the differences between double major and joint major? can i tranfer? …
