I've been accepted to both and am seriously considering both schoools. I've visited both and like both, though they are different in many respects. I've been selected as Regents Scholar at UCLA but was accepted in the Honors Program as a Presidential Scholar at USC (the price is near identical because of this). Which program is better? Perhaps I won't be getting the most unbiased answers on the UCLA discussion board but I'm just wondering. My major is Bioengineering.

UCLA bioengineering is a very small department. Most folks will choose UCLA over USC because of in state tuition. If USC has matched that (with scholarship), it will offer you superior educational experience. Also, you can easily change majors within usc. Does regents give priority class registration? UCLA and Cal (and all large UCs) are notorious for getting enrollment into the right classes. It may not be an issue for you if regents give you priority. And if you are doing bioengineering as a pre-med or otherwise keep the options open for a career as a doctor, usc grades will help you more than ucla.
