I've been accepted to both and am seriously considering both schoools. I've visited both and like both, though they are different in many respects. I've been selected as Regents Scholar at UCLA but was accepted in the Honors Program as a Presidential Scholar at USC (the price is near identical because of this). Which program is better? Perhaps I won't be getting the most unbiased answers on the USC discussion board but I'm just wondering. My major is Biomedical Engineering.

My son was also accepted to both USC and UCLA Engineering. He liked both Engineering schools.
However, he thought USC was more personalized and likes the fact that Viterbi is new from the ground up. You have great choices. UCLA housing was 3 to a room for freshmen. USC has the famous Trojan Alumni network which should be helpful for jobs. UCLA is in a much better neighborhood. I think you will find more personal attention at USC. My son really likes the small classes at USC. You will have some very large lectures at UCLA. If you are in-state, I would start at USC because your scholarship is for entering freshmen. If you start at USC, decide to transfer to UCLA, I guess you would not have the Regents Scholar but in state tuition at UCLA is better than full tuition at USC. I suggest you closely look at the entire college package . Eat the food, stay over night at the dorms, see what the schools are like on the week-end. etc. Congrats on your success.
