UCLA: Which is "easier" to get into? Psych or Sociology?

This question is for a friend who finally decided to take the plunge and enroll in CC (SMC). He wants to do something along the lines of a clinician/social worker or something similar where he can help counsel people.

I'm aware that both majors are VERY impacted at UCLA but I'm sure one is less rigid than the other in terms of admissions...

Thoughts?

Well, putting aside the essays and EC’s, Pre-psych has an admit rate of 21.3% and average admitted GPA of 3.81, Pre-Socio has an admit rate of 16.3% and average admitted GPA of 3.82. So, Psych is a tiny bit “easier”.
