Hi, I'm a white male from Connecticut and I'll be applying to the UConn School of Business this fall to major in Finance. I was wondering if I can consider UConn a safety school, bearing in mind that business school is difficult to get into.
Stats:
SAT: 660 CR, 670M, 800W (2130)
SAT II: 750 Chemistry, 740 U.S. History, will take Math II in Oct.
ACT: 27E, 33R, 30M, 30S, 10Essay (30 Composite), Will retake in Sept.
Class Rank: 12/238
AP's: Human Geography, Chemistry, U.S. History, Spanish, English (Lit&Comp), Calculus BC
EC's: 4 years of varsity sports all three seasons, various other clubs/NHS type activities

Thanks in advance for your help!!

2130 is very nice and so is your ACT, adding your class rank you should have no issues with getting into UCONN. That said UCONN is by no means a safety for anyone anymore. Getting into UCONN for any subject matter is becoming competative.

On another note My DS just started his 3rd year…he swapped from engineering to the school of business and loves it.

Thank you @3unitsIlove. I know, UConn is becoming more and more competitive each year! That bodes well for those who are soon to be graduates, like your DS, I would have to assume. How does he like the facilities. When I went on my tour be saw the outside of the Business building but never went inside. How is it? I hear it’s pretty new in there. Thanks

He really likes the facility & is it on the newer end. UCONN is also makeing strides as I understand it to increase their incoming class by 1,000 kids. I’m not sure when they want to hit that number but I can assure you the number is very real. They also have a rather large amount of grant money to overhaul much of the campus. UCONN is pushing to be on top of the public list of where to go for college and judging from the kids they have accepted over the last three years it is a fast moving train.

You look like you are in very good shape ro me!

Uconn does not look at writing ! But it’s still probably a safety for your
