UConn Engineering

I can't decide where I should go!

I've heard great things about the college of engineering, but when I went to visit one of the buildings was old and a little worn down. The IT building however was very nice. Anyone have input on the engineering faculty, class size, or the rigor of the program?

In the information session they said the class sizes range from 45-60 students freshman and sophomore year, then they get more concentrated to around 20-30 around junior and senior year. Does anyone see this as a disadvantage? Are the professors always willing to help you?

All comments are appreciated! Thanks!

I’m not in engineering so I can’t help you too much. All I can say is that, based on several years worth of hearing from friends that are in engineering, professors run the gamut; some are very good and helpful, others are… not.
