Called around 4pm and spoke with a young lady. She asked for my name and DOB. Also to describe the glitch I was experiencing (Mine was a congratulations without a major, then going back to under review as soon as I refreshed the page) After I told her all the info she confirmed that my application is still under review and that the portal should be up sometime this week to keep checking for any changes. She also reminded me that the last of decisions aren’t released until the end of the month, so not to fret if I don’t get a decision when the portal is back up. I don’t know how to feel about being still under review, but it is what it is.
^ Aw, that makes me sad that most of us are still under review if it is true what you said… 
I think that I’m just gonna assume that UC Riverside is releasing decisions on Ivy Day. But without the glory and all that.
When the portal was up, my acceptance had my specific major(while it did still do the glitch) that I applied for. Now that they confirmed my acceptance, it seems pretty valid according to this thread that at least for right now that if you had an acceptance with a major it is vaild while if it didn’t specify a major it might still be under review. Either way this was still stressful waiting for a portal that doesn’t seem to be getting resolved anytime soon. I’m hoping it does go up by tomorrow so that everyone does take a little bit of stress off themselves.
@Pyndown1 that helps alot, ive been stressing this whole week. Its good to know that my acceptance can be validated because i had my major in it
@dubnation739 I would remain hopeful. While this is still a theory and I could be wrong, as of right now it seems that anyone who has called and confirmed their acceptance has seemed to have had their specific major when the portal was up. Others who had a blank major and have called admissions in this thread seem to be still under review. However, has anyone been able to confirm their accceptance who didn’t have a major specified?

@Lic8437 thats good to hear for a lot of people. However I think why the admissions office couldnt tell descisons over the phone for some people. I had my mom call around 2 o clock (I couldn’t because I was in the middle of class and I couldnt wait any longer for the portal to reopen) and she said the my name was in a “batch” of other names that still needed to be re-updated back into their system. I hope this clarifies something.
@Lic8437 guess I didn’t read all the posts correctly but that is good! I hope everyone does who saw an acceptance gets admitted but it does suck that everyone has to sit, wait, and guess patiently for the portal to go back up.
Still under review? Can I assume that they accidentally deleted all the pervious decision they made bc of the glitch? It’s just too crazy

@Pyndown1 - I know of one person who did not have a major in the congratulations page and was told over the phone that s/he had been accepted. I think everyone should just wait for a confirmation before drawing conclusions. Nothing has been very clear about this process in the last few days and we can only hope UCR releases definitive information this week.

son has the same message as above, even though his originally showed his name and major, so we don’t know what is going on, but are taking a breath and waiting to check again till Friday when several of the others will be posted.
