Hello there! My portal is still stuck on pending but I received an email (in my spam folder) to explore Highlander Day on April 7, 2018. Did anyone else get this and is it possibly a sign of acceptance? Thank you in advance!
My S just accepted into Computer Science, Bourns College of Engineering. So looks like the rolling admissions are working…

@lisapizza I just check email and nothing about highlanders day. But I swear the message looks different to me this evening. It now says Your application is currently being considered for an admission decision. I swore it said something different the other day. Then again I think I’m losing my mind.
I was accepted during the first batch of notifications on March 5th at like 1:40 PST, and I’m checking back now to see what is going because some of my friends still haven’t heard back yet.

Major is psychology, but got accepted for my alternate which was Sociology

25 ACT
Varsity sports and AP classes. 3 on the APUSH exam and currently in AP Lit and AP Psych.
Rejected at UCSB and CSULB
I was accepted on the first day decisions came out and received my admission packet today!
Any advice on whether a regular tour or highlander day is better for visiting UCR?
I think it’s a great option for my son but he’s not sure.

PS. Riverside has some of best faculty of any of the UCs.
@Bean981 My husband is on the same boat as you. His portal says the same thing and he hasn’t received anything about Highlander Day. We check on his spam/junk mail and there isn’t anything from UCR. We are patiently waiting for his admission decision. :-S

@2022Fall I personally would rather visit on Highlander day as that is when you will see the most while you are there. I have done both at UCI and loved the event day much better. More to see and tour. That is just my $.02
Haven’t received a decision from UCR yet and haven’t gotten an email for highlander day. I’m starting to loose hope since some people received an email for highlander day w/o a decision. I know I shouldn’t be pessimistic but I’m not sure at this point.
@thingshappen believe me, I feel the same way. Getting an email from riverside for highlander day may mean nothing . A lot of my peers have already gotten accepted, however I still haven’t. All we can do is wait and hope for the best.
I’m really hoping my decision comes out today or that means I have another week of waiting.
@2022Fall : 5 years ago my son was accepted at UCR and we toured on Highlander Day. It was helpful, and the atmosphere was festive since it was a pretty big event, but it might have been more beneficial to have just toured on a regular day with “professional” tour guides. The guides on Highlander Day were one-day volunteers and were not nearly as polished and knowledgeable (I hope) than the regular guides. Having said that however, it was a very good day, my son attended and had a fantastic experience at UCR, got his degree in Statistics last year and is now working as a data analyst in LA.
