When and how are we going to find out our UCR financial aid awards following being accepted there? On MyUCR it tells me nothing about my financial aid package besides the Highlander Scholarship offer.

Someone please answer this, I have the same question. MyUCR doesn’t seem to have any info regarding financial aid.

I remember getting an email about April release dates for financial aid.

thank you, liveonboca. Much appreciated.

The email i got said releases would be made mid-to late march. I got mine today

sweet. I hope you got everything you wanted, sonic23.

@Santacruzca i got way more than i was expecting! They didnt notify me by email and MyUCR doesnt show a notifcation but i just checked growl anyway and it was posted yesterday w/ the option to appcept the offers

@sonic23. thanks for the info. I’ve been checking MyUCR religiously, and as you said, there is nothing. I’m going to look into this growl thing right now.

oh and congratulations too!!

Ha, my son’s portal shows the financial aid award is ready, but the system is unavailable!

looks like I’m going to have to call them Monday. I haven’t received a PERM PIN yet to enter Growl, even though I was accepted in Nov through TAG and have been given scholarship applications to work on.

@santacruzca I cannot get in to Growl since it is down, but I thought the ID/Password for My.UCR is the same for Growl, no?

@liveonboca ya, I noticed it was down. What I read is that the PERM PIN is a six digit number, and what I enter in MyUCR is my user name and password. I’ll try again later with my password if growl gets back up today. Thanks again.
I just noticed the area to enter the PERM PIN only accepts six characters, so I’m pretty sure the MyUCR password I have isn’t going to work.
QUESTION: when you say “my son’s portal shows,” are you referring to his MyUCR page or is there something else I’m missing?

GROWL seems to be working now. Decent package from UCR, very affordable for my family. Just have to see if son chooses UCR over UCD

@santacruzca Log into the My.UCR admissions portal like you did when you checked your admission status. There, you should see a button that says SIR at GROWL or YOUR FINANCIAL AID AWARD IS READY. Click on those (they on are the right side of your screen) and this should take you right to GROWL with no other logging in, as long as you are logged into MyUCR. Then on the left side of your screen, click on AWARD STATUS.

@liveonboca I found this gem inside my TAG “acceptance” letter:
“Please note UC Riverside will review your TAG application and notify you of your transfer admission
decision in March.” So it looks like I’m still in a hold pattern and waiting for their “decision.” Curious they’d have me work on scholarship applications before even allowing me a “portal” to Growl. I’m calling them Monday morning to see what’s going on.
Thank you for helping me with this and good luck to your son.

@liveonboca I did it! I found a link to Growl on MyUCR. It was under MY PROFILE in the “personal information” tab. It took directly to Growl with no further login information. Unfortunately I’m still waiting, but at least I’m not as lost as I was, thanks again for your help.

Anybody still waiting? I am. : /

I just got my financial aid packet yesterday, they sent me an email saying it was available, it was sent roughly around 5pm yesterday
