Well I found out last minute that the counselor I met with during winter semester (not my regular counselor) told me that I had all the necessary classes to complete my IGETC by spring. I met with my counselor yesterday and she told me I was missing ONE class. One class that will keep me from completeing my IGETC. So, I’m most likely going to a Cal State, my chances of getting into UCR are very slim now.
Good luck everyone!
@thesleepystudent what class/area was it?
@MiniGrace11 it was just an arts and humanities class, she told me there’s still a chance I could be accepted because technically I have all the classes I need to transfer into the business program, I just won’t have that class to finish my IGETC which I put on my application that I would have it, which could jeapordize my acceptance. If I got accepted I could come back to my community college for a summer to take that class so i won’t have to take 4 classes at UCR to make it up but that’s if they even decide I’m worth accepting! My application is “currently being considered” so I’m guessing they deemed me qualified.
What’s the possibility they’ll actually release admissions tomorrow.
I really hope it’s tomorrow that they are releasing decisions but it’s also been a month since decisions were supposed to come out so I stopped getting excited. Everytime they give a date and they DONT come out on that date they just keep pushing the date back so I feel like the admissions staff doesn’t really know… I’ll try to call now…
I’m a bit shocked at how UCR is releasing decisions so late. I mean UCSB already did theirs :O.
@Biochemgirl I hope it’s soon!
I called admissions… she said transfer decisions begin in April and go out on a rolling basis throughout April… when I asked her if it was the beginning of April she didn’t really know so… I feel like they say anything
That sucks! I’m sure they really are just saying anything. But at least we’ll all know for sure next month lol because the admissions acceptance deadline is May 1st.
I don’t think UCR will let any of us know April 1st. They haven’t finished notifying their freshmen applicants yet. I’d like to see UCR prove me wrong.
That’s weird because someone on here and someone on the freshman thread said that decisions for transfers are being sent out march 31st and I half assed believed it because freshman are being waitlisted right now and acceptances slowed down this week for them. But honestly who knows with UCR. I have a month to sir to CSUSB anyway
Stillllll nothing haha
Honestly getting real tired of ucr and them not meeting deadlines
And then I saw on their twitter that ALL decisions will be out by March 31. SO CONFUSING.
what’s funny to me is that they told someone who specifically asked on their twitter if admissions were to spill over into April and they told her that they would strictly end at the end of march, and she told them that someone in admissions when she called told her they would be spilling into April and they just liked her tweet. No clarification. Nothing. Why is the admissions office telling us that we will have to wait until April and then the Twitter telling us march 31st?
I’m giving up on UCR… I won’t be checking again until April 15… this has been the most frustrating process
Has anyone who TAG UCR received a decision yet?
@thesleepystudent sounds like you’re referring to my tweet to UCR Admissions. The problem is the Twitter feed is not considering Transfer Students and is assuming everyone active on their twitter feed and calling in are freshman applicants. Typically most UC’s send out Transfer decisions in April but for some reason isn’t stated on their website (at least I couldn’t find it) this year as opposed to previous years when it did. I think the main take away is to make sure to clarify that you’re a transfer applicant before asking any questions so that they can best assist you.
I did TAG for UCR, I’m still waiting on a reply
@DeelanKeem actually it used to say on the UCR portal explicitly that transfer decisions come out March 1 so…
