@lnlntte I got email too regarding not accepting anymore from waitlist at this point. However it said I’m still on the waitlist and they’ll know more in August and to continue checking. What does this mean? Can anyone here share if they have seen this from prior year waitlist and what are the chances? I committed to another school but was definitely hoping this would come through.

Just got admitted off the waitlist! (Media and Cultural Studies)

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to say congratulations to everyone who got into UCR through the waitlist:) It was a very stressful time and I’m glad I found this forum so that we could all help each other out!

I got that email too. Idk if I should ask to change majors for a better chance of admission or naw.

Does anyone know how late decisions will be sent out? I am a cs major and I have gotten no response yet, am I unlikely to be admitted?

I emailed the Office of Admissions at the end of July and they said they while they don’t have a definitive date on the end of waitlisting, they are still admitting through August. I’m a CS major too so I can relate to you

I received this email on Friday, August 14th:

"Thank you for your continued interest in UCR. You are still on our waitlist for fall 2020, but due to challenges associated with the coronavirus pandemic, decisions may be delayed until early September. We understand the challenges a delay like this can have for students and families and will update you on the waitlist decision as soon as possible, if space becomes available. No action is needed on your part at this time, but be sure to continue to check My.UCR.EDU for the most up-to-date information regarding your application.

We encourage you to pursue alternative options. This could include committing to an institution that has already offered you admission. We will inform you should space become available at UCR for fall 2020."
