My top choice is UC Berkeley, but I'm also applying to UCI, UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, and USC.

Will my low SAT II scores hurt me? Would it be a bad idea to take them again?

I think that with these scores you have a 78.653% chance of getting in. But I didn't take into account inflation, global warming and population growth.

typical azn scores. it'll be hard because you're azn (not being racist just fact). there are a lot of other people with a lot of better scores than what you have and a lot MORE extracurriculars than those you listed. sorry to be the bearer of bad news but i think you might end up going to your local community college.

i disagree with shaq. i dont think ull end up to a community college. i know UCSD, UCSB, and UCI are good matches for u. my friend, he has a sister who goes to UCI, asian, with a 3.8 GPA. korean dude in my spanish class, 3.6 GPA W, goes to UCI. keep that in mind that way u dont end up all like crap i have to go to CC. and get some safeties too although i think UCI should be like a safety for u.

whoa, there's some familiarity in those words, and yet i'm talking to a complete stranger. O.O

dude, don't listen to these posts, they don't know anything about college admissions.

stats don't mean jack*. I've gotten scores all lower than yours and i got in to Berkeley.

Yes, asians are at a disadvantge, because of 51% at Irvine and 40% at Berk. But thats okay, cause that means asians also have more qualifications that allow them to be accepted by these universities. If not, then there's always Merced or Riverside. GG.

The admissions, esp. at UCs, all depend on your good essay. With my lower scores on practically everything, and probably a lower GPA, the essay really got me in. so get cracking on that essay, get the prompts from teh internetzorz, and start on that *, cause if you start it late then its a pain in the ass.

4 on you essay you might wanna talk about something really unique. I talked about making and performing my salute routine as a drum major. ^^

you'll get into berk, so stop your *****ing and your worrying.

If you're still worried, then turn to religion. God really put me in to Berk. lol.

The UCs are prohibited by Proposition 209 passed in 1996 from using race in admissions decisions.

Quote: "2. Yes, asians are at a disadvantge, because of 51% at Irvine and 40% at Berk. But thats okay, cause that means asians also have more qualifications that allow them to be accepted by these universities. If not, then there's always Merced or Riverside. GG."

You disprove your own position with this statement. If the UCs discriminated against Asians, there would not be a larger percentage enrolled in the most competitive UC in the state than in the general population.

But don't take my word for it, because poster #17 says I don't know anything about college admissions - so what would I know?
