@stephrass Thank you, I live in socal so I’m losing hope.
@couplemoreweeks today is the 1st day that people are receiving these invites from what I can see, and regents invites come out after chancellors so I wouldn’t give up hope at all if I were you! Hopefully tomorrow is your day:) do you have any idea how many chancellors invites go out each year?
@1337MOM Thank you! I plan on Bio majoring, though I think I may end up on the East Coast. I have a 3.9something unweighted, a 4.5 weighted, 9 APs, various honors including Cum Laude and 4 other national societies, tons of extra curriculars and leadership (two-sport varsity captain, in musicals, plays, over 100 hrs community service) and a 34 ACT.
It is just so crazy to me, seeing all these phenomenal stats, that everyone is so worried about acceptance!!! What kind of screwed up system is this that highly intelligent and accomplished students are stressing so much about college. Who needs this crap? Sorry, venting mom…
@ucladeb I’m with you!! My D has a 4.0, 2050 SAT (which I know is good but not necessarily good enough for ivys) a varsity sport, etc…It’s crazy that after working that hard, she is still expecting rejections from top schools! The competition is unreal. I see you’re UCLA…we are a USC family and she’s really hoping for a YES from them :-*
I received an invite to the Chancellor’s reception yesterday in the mail yesterday. I am a California resident; UC GPA: 4.08, SAT 2220
I got an invite to the reception today. 4.16 UC GPA, 4.36 uncapped. 2150 SAT/32 ACT. Computer science
My son received an invite to the Chancellor ’ s reception today. If it means what others
say it means, yeah for him! He applied to the Mechanical Engineering major.
BTW his stats are 4.38 UC W GPA, 2280 SAT, Math II Subject 800, Physics subject 730, 9 APs plus 5 more in senior year.
Just got an invite!! @stephrass you were right.
@couplemoreweeks awesome!! Congrats!
but to be clear if we got the chancellors invite now, does that mean we will not get Regents?
Not sure the timing of regents, but it’s usually handled through a separate correspondence.
Official decisions for UCSB start coming out on March 16! @cl3v3land
What are the minimum stats for regents from previous years? I got invited to the reception but I’m worried about regents!
What is the admission rate for pharmacology??
For those who wish to know, UCSB has sent out regents letters.
@Bigheadsun do you know if they went out by email or reg mail?
Regular Mail. And it doesnt show I got regents on my UCSB online account either.
@Bigheadsun but you got yours in yesterday’s mail?
