Isn’t this a bit premature?

Last year decisions were posted online on 3-16 or 3-17. Based on last year’s admission thread, the scores for admitted engineering majors were MUCH higher than those of non-STEM majors. D is ChemE, so that makes us nervous, but LA/Econ majors may find it reassuring. Only two more months…

anyone received regents invitation from UCSB yet?

Thanks for asking the question @mahoushojo, I was wondering the same thing! Anyone??

Same question! When did regents come out last year?

Really nervous and excited for this. And does anyone know if Regents and top applicants are decided Holistically?

From the previous threads (last march), students first posted of receiving regents letters on Feb 28 and others were invited to chancellor receptions starting Feb 21. The chancellor receptions generally mean you are admitted (but apparently some in the past in Chicago ? did not mean that). You can be invited to chancellors and not be a regent and vice versa. AND you can be not invited for either and still be admitted, so don’t panic! good luck to all.

Thank you @jbourne!

@jbourne‌ @1337MOM‌ @couplemoreweeks‌ just got my Chancellor’s letter in the mail today. I’m in state and stats are above the 75th percentile so I figure it implies acceptance.

Congratulations @trose220! That’s very exciting! What is your major? Do you want to share stats?

Do the chancellors emails come out in waves?

My D just got her Chancellor’s invitation in the mail today. We’re in SoCal. I guess that means she got in?

Did she get an email?

I got a Chancellor’s invitation today too! I live in SoCal. I’m almost hundred percent sure it means we’re in.
Basic stats: 3.97 uw GPA, 2210 SAT, 35 ACT (Don’t know my UC GPA)

Does anyone know the official day that decisions will be posted?

Starting March 16th, with everyone notified by March 31.

I believe decisions are posted March 16th

I have a
2220 SAT
800,780,730 subject tests
4.1 capped UC GPA and 4.4 Uncapped UCGPA

Non impacted major.

I didn’t get any email today and I’m in California. Do I have no chance of getting chancellors or regents?

@couplemoreweeks‌ my D’s Chancellor invite came in the regular mail. She did not receive an email about this so I would say that with regular mail you absolutely still have a chance
