Hey everyone,
I am transferring from a community college to university in fall 2016. I recently got accepted into UC Santa Barabara and I am considering going there; however, I found it difficult finding where transfers can stay/ dorm. If anyone knows more information/advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, does financial aid/grants you get cover some of the off campus housing that ucsb offers?
Thanks!
Manzanita and San Rafael residence hall. If I do attend UCSB, I’ll be getting an apartment in Isla Vista instead…
I made a thread on this a week or two ago. There are six on-campus living options that UCSB offers, in addition to the numerous off-campus options in the surrounding area of Isla Vista.

You can choose between dorms, university-owned undergraduate apartments, or leasing in isla vista.
The website says that transfers for 16-17 will only be able to get into university apartments in Isla Vista. Meal plans are available at the campus cafeterias. That would require a 10 minute bike ride to campus for meals.
