<p>How do they determine who your roommate is? My cousin goes to UCSD and my other cousin went to CSU Channel Islands and they said that they took this survey to get paired up with someone who has some sort of common interest with you, is it the same as UCSB?</p>

<p>Not sure about requesting people but yeah you fill in this sheet of paper. Bunch of question airs. I think it’s dumb cause I highly doubt anyone is going to put “LIKES SMELLY PEOPLE” or “LIKES DOING DRUGS” it kind of defeats the purpose but eh i guess…</p>
<p>you take a quiz which asks of your habits for the most part and if it is okay for your future roommate to smoke or not, be clean or not, and so on. </p>
<p>Or, you can request your friend or random stranger you meet off FB or cc talk to be your roommate for this fall. (I think I have a couple of roommates who requested each other off CC LOL)</p>
