Ucsb fafsa

For all those UCSB kids wondering about FAFSA, I just got this e-mail, so even if you guys did use updated data for parents income, it seems like they only just reviewed it on the 17th hence the delay comparatively?

It‚s time to update your 2009-10 FAFSA!

For many students, the only 2009-10 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) we have received is their original application. On April 17, the UCSB Financial Aid Office reviewed the information contained on the last 2009-10 FAFSA record we received from you. That latest FAFSA record still showed that your parents had not yet filed their 2008 federal income tax return when they completed the parental income section of your FAFSA.

Please take a moment to access your 2009-2010 FAFSA at FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid and revise the estimated income and taxes paid data to reflect the actual information you submitted to the IRS on your tax return.

If you submitted a paper FAFSA, revisions can be completed on the paper Student Aid Report (SAR) you received in response to the FAFSA.

Be sure that your signature and your parents‚ signatures are supplied when making revisions.

Updating your information NOW will allow us to evaluate your FAFSA using the most accurate information. Update today!

My fafsa has been updated twice by me (for some reason it did not successfully update the first time), and another time by forces unknown. Now I have to go through a verification process.

Sometimes, I feel sad that this is my government.

@ Sophee Be careful what you feel, the government hears it ;)…

Well, bring it on GOVment!
