Hey all, I’m getting ready to go to college and have accepted admission to UCSB in the honors program as a Regents Scholar, pre-economics. I’m hearing it is hard to transfer between UC’s? I didn’t even apply to LA or Berkeley and I wish I had so that I could just go without worrying about the transfer process, but I didn’t (I always thought I would just want SB but I’ve come to realize I’d rather live in a larger city and receive a more well-respected degree). If I can keep my grades high, as well as the fact I’m an Honors and Regents student, could I fairly easily make the transfer or is it still pretty difficult? Would my AP credit follow me? How soon could I make the transfer if I start with 30 quarter credits?
Thanks
Bump
UCSB is a perfectly respectable university and you will get an excellent education, however, if you are set on transferring, I would check the UC to UC transfer thread to get some tips and more information.
I think you should give UCSB a chance and make the most of the opportunities you have been given before deciding to transfer: my 2 cents…
