i got into ucsd and ucsb honors program.... so my question is which should i go to? i know that sd is more known for academics, but i want more of a "complete" college experience... also does any one know how useful the ucsb honors program is? oh and im planning on double majoring in biz econ and history.... any advice plz?

i wouldn’t pay too much attention to the honors tag

but here are some benefits listed by UCSB:
:: Honors Study Center
:: Graduate Library Privileges
:: Priority Registration
:: Honors Discussion List
:: Other Benefits

the most useful one is Priority registration. remember that u must keep a certain GPA or u get kicked out (+community service +honors unit requirement)

ooh thx for the quick response… yeah the registration sounds sweet.
any current ucsb honors program students who can comment on it for me?

bump bumpity

UCSB for sure. I really dislike UCSD, though, and I’m a UCSB student, so I’m biased.

Here’s an article I wrote about the honors program at UCSB (I’m in it): [Gaucho Insider | The UCSB honors program](http://gauchoinsider.com/articles/56)

What about the honors program at SB vs. Cal?

That is a tougher decision, but it should ultimately boil down to your major and your love for each school.

What if I love Cal but UCSB is giving me a huge scholarship.

thanks for the opinions guys… i decided on UCSB!!!

^Good choice :)

U wont regret it. I made this decision last april between UCSB and UCSD and coming here was probably the best decision I made in a long time. Where u gonna dorm at?

I chose UCSB over UCSD as well. =)
