<p>Is computer science in college of creative studies impacted? What are some impacted majors at ucsb</p>
<p>I think that it’s hard to get into both the college of creative studies and college of engineering at UCSB and their associated majors. If you’re going to declare a major before your first year, I recommend you do it at the CCS or the CoE because transferring into that major is difficult after admission.</p>

<p>All majors in the COE are impacted. They had 10,000 applicants this year for a freshman class of 300. The most competitive was ME with 3900+ apps for a target incoming class of 65. It is close to impossible to transfer into the COE from Letters and Sciences.</p>
<p>CCS is a whole different animal. It has it’s own application and I believe and interview process.</p>
<p>According to several sources at UCSB - applications to engineering (all majors) has increased by about 25% each year for the past several years.</p>
<p>Ooh! Brilliant! Ow about computer science in computational biology economics geology emphasis? Are they impacted? Selective?</p>
