I am technically an out of state student looking to transfer to UCSB, I lived in SB for the past 3 years but had to move back east because of family issues. I didn't do so hot in my first year of CC and currently have a 2.4, looking to raise it to about a 2.9-3.0 within 2 semesters. Im 22, have worked for 2 law offices in SB, have great recommendation letters and am showing upward trend, with the intent to major in Political science. Do I have a shot?

Transfering into UCSB is really competitive - particularly if you aren’t using TAG. I bet you’ll need closer to 3.5 or better.

Poly Sci - how about Sac State?

Well, the minimum oos gpa for transferring to UCSB is technically 2.8, but I doubt getting in will be easy.
