With good essays (for UCSB) what are my chances?

And regarding my major for SLO- potentially business or agriculture/architecture
I hear its hard but not impossible to switch majors once accepted into Cal Poly SLO

Neither looks at frosh grades.

UCSB and Cal Poly are both matches. Try to get better grades, however.

apparently Cal Poly does look at freshman grades but UCSB does not. yeah the grades have always been a little bit of a problem.
My highschool also is competitive, 51st in the nation with 950 API score, not sure if that has any impact.
