UCSB OR CSULB

I live near Long Beach, probably a 20 minute drive so I’d commute.
UCSB is a little over 2 hrs away
I got a good amount money to where I’d end up winning money instead of losing. For Long Beach I got nearly enough for a dorm but I’d prefer to commute due the college not being far from home so I’d save myself a lot of money. Over all money is not an issue for Long Beach thankfully.

I’m going in as a pre biology major (molecular and cellular bio) into UCSB.
Into Long Beach I’m going in as undeclared unless I declare pre bio too.

If I go to UCSB my plan is to go in as my pre-bio major and at the same time meet pre reqs for nursing school (Long Beach, Fullerton, and others etc) So I plan to transfer to a cal state or uc with a nursing program my second/third year…

Except idk if I should go to UCSB which has no nursing program or if I should go to CSULB.

I applied as a nursing major to 4 cal states and 2 ucs and did not get in. I got in as undeclared to most.

My passion truly is nursing, it’s very hard to get into a good program here. But I don’t want to give up so I will for sure re apply as a transfer and hope for the best. In the mean time idk what to do. Because I do have the option of staying at CSULB and just declaring the nursing major again.

If I go to Long Beach like i said I’d commute which I wouldn’t mind except for the fact that things at home aren’t so stable, I have no privacy or place to study which sucks. But I would have extra money left over. For UCSB it’d end up owning around 4-6k a year. And I’d have all these places for me to study in and be able to focus.

Again my goal is NURSING, I have no idea what to do.

Long Beach to save money for Nursing school.
