UCSB Regents Scholar or UCLA?

(I’m also assuming that I would apply to the honors college at UCLA and be able to get in). Physics major at SB and Astronomy major at LA. Currently am planning to go to graduate school after to get PhD in Astronomy/Astrophysics.

I’m really torn. SB is offering me a better financial package with the scholarship and all, plus I know Regents is a distinction that doesn’t only sound good but likely provides me with better opportunities on campus and better access to professors and academic counselling. On the other hand, I know I probably prefer the LA location and campus culture better and can likely make better connections in terms of networking and getting to know important people, even if I don’t stand out as much individually. Of course I realize that my bias towards LA is also largely in part due to them just being the more selective school and having a bigger reputation…

What do you guys think???
