UCSB required GE's?

What are UCSB required GE's? Is there alot? If it helps, I wanna major in Biopsychology.

anyone??????

Well, if you're transfering from a california community college, you can go to www.assist.org and there will be a list of classes for that major. Otherwise, I don't know how to help you

Here is a page from the catalog, College of Letters and Science. The GE requirements for BA and BS are listed there.

UCSB has GE requirements, labeled as Area A-G, encompassing different subject areas (social sciences, arts, literature, etc.). Mostly it's about 2-3 courses per "Area." There are also some other reqts (writing reqt, quantitative relationship reqt, ethnicity reqt, etc.). Some you can overlap (one course counts for both an Area D, and a writing reqt), but you can't allow one course to count for both let's say, an Area A and an Area D reqt. Most people find that fulfilling the GEs are pretty easy. I don't know if there's a specific biopsychology major (there's biochemistry and the like) in the College of Letters and Science. (There are also two other colleges: College of Engineering and College of Creative Studies).

Yes, there is a BS degree offered in Biopsychology in the College of Letters and Science. Here is the link:http://www.psych.ucsb.edu/undergraduate/majors/biopsychology/biopsychology.php
There are a number of pre-major requirements, as well as the regular GE requirements.
