Hello everyone. I filled out a TAG app for UCSB on Sep. 02 and was just wondering if anyone knew when we would get a reply as to whether or not it has been accepted. I believe I read somewhere that it was the first week of October but someone told me it was in November which would kinda suck. If anyone filled out the TAG last year and could let me know when they recieved a reply that would be awesome.

Thanks.

Has anyone received TAG responses? If so how and when do they come?

Hey clickann I reposted this thread on the UC Transfer section and a guy said they were going to start releasing some of the decisions Friday Oct 15 so hopefully we know tomorrow… Not everyone will be notified though. The deadline for all schools to release all decisions is November 15 so you will know no later than that date, yoo’ll probably know before that though.
Goodluck…

Thank you Ill be checking!!

Yeah no prob. Oh and to answer your previous follow up question, I believe you should be notified through your TAG account. Where it currently says your TAG is “under review”…
Let me know when you get your decision…

will do nothing yet!!

Nothing yet. This is driving me insane!

So I thought I would call UCSB to see when TAG acceptance notifications might be posted. First the admissions person told me they do not notify and that we would know until May just like ever other transfer applicant. Hmmmm… she said they are not like other UC’s hmmm… again. I said I thought that did not make sense and she said she would check with someone else which she did and then came back to me and gave the same response. Me, not accepting her answer asked her to please check with someone else, she said okay set the phone down and for the next fifitenn minutes I got to hear an office full of people chitty chatting about everything besides TAG and UCSB. I finally hung up, called back and the new person I spoke to told me to call back tommorrow. HAHA what chaos. So we all continue to wait.

I don’t know how that even makes sense. Why even apply for TAG then? Let us know what they say tomorrow!

Also posted in transfer Forum.

“UCSB does not use the same TAG model as UC Davis, Santa Cruz or Irvine. These campuses will be notifying students of their TAG status sometime in November. TAG applicants to UCSB will receive their official admit notification beginning late February to the end of April”

So I guess we stop checking and hope TAG is correct and approved.
