UCSB, UCI, LMU, or USD?

I cannot decide between UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine, Loyola Marymount and the University of San Diego! I would like to go to a big school in a big city where i could have lots of fun and be at a college with a good reputation! I know UCSB has a reputation as a party school, but is it still respected? i know none of them are particularly prestigious, but how would you order these schools from most prestigious to least? at LMU or USD would it seem too much like high school since there's so few people and and the classes are too small? I want to be in a bigger city since i've lived in a small college town my whole life so that makes me not wanna go to UCSB, but if i'm on campus most of the time that wouldn't matter...do students usually spend most of their time on campus? which of these schools have the most school spirit? i also feel like because of all the budget cuts going to a private school would be smarter, but UC's are more well known... so i don't know which would be better. any advice/information is greatly appreciated! thanks!!!

-UCSB is probably the most respected school out of the 4, slightly edging out UCI. and ucsb is the #9 public school in the country, so i would consider that prestigious. irvine lacks the school spirit of ucsb. i would definitely choose between sb and irvine, i didnt apply to LMU but I visited, and it does feel like a high school a little bit, but not as much as pepperdine. i dont think it really matters to be near a city since you are going to be on campus, and out of UCI UCSB and LMU (dont know about USD), UCSB had the best college feel. my sister attends UCSB (and im attending this fall) and she loves it there and never has to leave campus/IV. everything is really accessible. I got into irvine too, and its a good school, but the student body didnt seem as happy/friendly and its kind of a commuter school.

EDIT: and to the party school part, its way overhyped, ya there are good parties but you arent like forced into it if thats not what you want.

I’d go UCSB>UCI>USD>LMU…but thats just my opinion 0_o

UCSB will give you the best college experience while getting an outstanding education. But take into account what you want to learn! All those schools you listed have perks and take advantage of that. At the same time UCSB is very well rounded.
