Ucsb>ucsd>ucsc?

My stats:

UC GPA 3.88

Good/excellent ECs

I chose math because I think it will help you. If you like it, I encourage you to do it. My friend at UCLA said she might minor in math because you need to be good in math for their program! And if you are good in math, you can focus more on the concepts.!

With your stats you should be a shoe-in at UCLA math/econ and Berkeley Econ

ya, I will hopefully take more math when I get there, I have a heavy load because I want to double major in political science and get a minor in spanish. another minor may put me past 3 years hahahahah

Cool. Honestly, I think math will help you. If you seriously want a masters or phd, you HAVE to take a TON of math. And if you want to do finance, you might as well get the math done.

My dream would be econ and math or maybe a minor in accounting.

thats cool bro, math is hard.

me imma math-tard…and i can only make veggie samiches.

Cool story, sis.

If we get into UCLA, I can show you some math tricks for cutting sandwiches.

awww are you hitting on me?

hahaha

I don’t get the purpose of this thread. You’re asking what we think, and arguing with our opinions.

We’re telling you UCSD is a higher ranked school, much more weight to a degree from it, and you’re replying saying that that stuff doesn’t apply to you.

“Hey guys, which do you think is better, UCSB or UCSD? Cuz I decided on UCSB and I don’t really care if you say you think UCSD is better or why, I just want to point it out and ask for opinions to pretend I’m actually re-evaluating my decision.”

If you want to feel better about your choice, then just pretend we all said we agree with you.

I visited a pal who goes to UCSB. I went with him to his building so he could pick up his laptop because he doesn’t usually sleep there but at another friend’s apartment near by. Once we got his floor, a lot of people from his floor was watching TV drunk out of minds. We got to the dorm and we saw his roomate passed out on his bed. good times.

Whatever…

another good thread slowly dying…

in 6 days we will know! I hope.

@ Essenar

I could waste my time arguing with you, but I seriously don’t care about your callousness or dimwittedness.

I was just asking for discussion and bringing up my concerns! And also to see if anyone else was in my predicament.

@ Trasferuc

For sure.

Go away essenar, hah

switch your college at UCSD… It’s not impossible. I was in Revelle and now I am in Sixth. Sixth college is so much better GE wise… I didnt think that UCSD would ever call me but they did and they let me switch colleges. AWESOME!

Yes! That was so exciting, Rwasko, and I’m so glad they were able to do that for you!

thanks evan!!! …even though that makes my decision THAT much harder…

if they were ranked the same you would go to ucsb so yeah… not really sure how 35 vs. 42 makes much difference.

back to the ‘don’t HAVE to party’ comments…idk if any of you have stayed in IV…it’s loud as **** till 3 in the ****ing morning, and then the freebirds crown gets in. just saying. maybe away from IV or DP you’ll be alright.

you could just use some earplugs or listen to music. small inconvenience i guess, but not a big deal

Or he could get into Cal, problem solved.

I think it would be amazing to talk to the recent nobel prize winner there, just finished reading his paper, Nature of a Firm. It’s crazy what these guys think.
