CP SLO has good hands-on, 5,000 of total 20,000 students are engineering. UCSB is not top tier UC’s but with most uptrend in recent years as a professor in open house claimed. Well this is hard to decide.
Which school BS graduate has a better chance in finding first job with equivalent background?

i would pick cal poly SLO in a second.

the only reason i would even consider UCSB is if you are in any way planning to attend graduate school, if so, UC's might be a good choice.

But employers across california generally prefer Cal Poly SLO's engineering undergrad program over most UC's excluding berkeley, LA, and SD.
