UCSB vs. UC Davis for Pre-Law Student

I have to make a decision in 8 days and I’m torn between these two schools. I’ll list some pros and cons for each school, and would appreciate feedback from students of either university and maybe students that went to both.

UC Davis
Pros:
-1 1/2 hours away from home so I can visit and live a cheaper life
-Apparently, a lot of internship opportunities with law firms and the Capitol
-Complete college town feel

Cons:
-Being from NorCal, I know the weather sucks here
-I hear the class sizes for the Humanities are big and I prefer smaller class sizes

UCSB
Pros:
-Great social scene
-Have some friends already attending there
-Looks beautiful and has amazing weather-- much better than Davis

Cons:
-Slightly more expensive which is bad because grad school is already going to kill me
-5 1/2 hours away from home
-I hear it can be a little distracting with everything going on

I know I’d be happy at either school and I know parties aren’t everything but I don’t want to be just working and studying. If you could answer a couple questions with the advice, that would be helpful. Do AP credits really help because UCSB accepts mine but not Davis. Which school would be easier to get a higher GPA and increase my chances of graduate school? Which school would offer more one on one help(my guess would be Davis due to it’s abundance of graduate students)? For UCSB students exclusively, is living off campus much more expensive than on campus? For Davis students exclusively, do the dorms get uncomfortably hot during the summer?

I would really appreciate any type of advice as soon as possible from anyone. Thank You:)

For class sizes, try looking at the on-line class schedules to see if the class sizes are listed.

Most UC’s have similar policies for AP credit so what AP course credit does UCSB accept that Davis does not?

I agree you should check the on-line course catalog and schedules to determine that class sizes are larger at UCD vs UCSB.

You could really need that internship.
