Does anyone know if you can live in any of the apartments during the summer?

I know I'm going to work while in college and if I have to move during the summer, I'll have to find another job, because most likely I won't be able to afford something else without roommates.

xleper17: did your friends status change online? Or did they just receive a letter in the mail?

my friend talked to he housing people and they said they were going I open it up to transfers because they do not have enough grad students to fill it up

is anyone thinking about living in the "freshman" halls. the apartments seems so secluded from everyone i.e. youll probably just make friends with your roommate(s). whereas in the "freshman" residence hall you can get to know people in the entire hall. being a new kid i want to meet more people and space isnt too important as long as i have a place to study and sleep. is anyone else doing what im going to do or will i be stuck with a bunch of freshmans?

accepted to UCI yesterday, STILL NO WORD FROM UCSB!

Im thinking about doing what your doing tho Sally. And yea you prolly will get stuck with a high percentage of freshman. If you don't wan't to be around mostly freshman go into the mostly non-freshman dorms - (manzanita and san rafael i believe)

my friend was unable to create an online account. she entered in the wrong social security number but she fixed it before they sent out acceptances. yet she was still unable to create an online account. so i am unable to verify whether or not she had a change online.

Are you all able to access your financial aid information for UCSB? I got accepted but I can't seem to access it. I got to one part that asked for my UCSBnet ID which I don't have.

you get your ucsbnet id a few days after your accept your intent to register, then from there you can get your umail and login to the financial aid website.

i emailed admissions last week and they told me all bus. econ majors applications have to be processed by admissions and then have to be reviewed by the econ dept so it could be a while still....great

don't worry guys, just try to keep your minds off it, its going to drive you crazy checking the website 17739821798431 billion times a day haha. What I did while I was waiting was exploring the other schools I was accepted into just in case..
