UC Santa Cruz is probably my dream school, and I think I’ll get in as a freshman for 2022, but unfortunately due to personal circumstances, I can’t go. So yeah, I was wondering if I could get in as a sophomore as a lower division transfer. I’ve heard some UCs do have them, so I was wondering if UCSC was one of them, and how that would work. Thanks!
This is from the UCSC website:
Lower-division transfer students
UC Santa Cruz will admit a limited number of transfer students before they reach junior standing, provided all required coursework is completed prior to enrollment.
I would contact admissions and ask for the specifics. For lower division transfers at some of the other UC’s, it will dependent upon your intended major (UCD limits lower division transfers to specific majors only) and if there any spots available.
So I’m still waiting to here back about my application status, and I’m starting to get worried. I a solid personal statement with about a 3.43, and my IGETC will be completed by the end of spring. Should the fact that I haven’t heard back be a concern?
