How hard is it to get a 3.3 GPA at santa cruz?

i have a question too, whats the average GPA for Computer science or engineering major?! it is really hard to get like 3.5 GPA

Depends a lot on your major. 3.3 isn’t unreasonable to shoot for. A 3.5 for CS/CE is pretty damn tough to maintain into upper division classes.

Also, if you’re in engineering, you have a separate SOE GPA. It’s composed of only the classes that apply to your major.

so for freshman year it shouldn’t be that bad? just getting that GE in and maintaing a 3.3?

Rdakker, the only time it will be hard to get a GPA is when you don’t work for it. I for one am going into UCSC this upcoming year with the attitude that I am going to do everything I can get a 4.0, sure its sounds crazy, but if you really want it to happen, you can make it happen. Its all about how much you want to work for your goal

Yeahhh I know someone who is a double major between game design and CE. Despite his intense class load with almost no GEs he still has a 3.8. But he does homework day in day out. It’s all about how you want to live your life.

^woah, that’s amazing o.o

I’m gonna probably major in Bio or Neuroscience. Not sure which, but i need good grades in order to go to Med School. Like 3.6 ish, i need to get over this senioritis by the time i start college lol
