"How were you able to let some students know their decision before other students?
We admitted the majority of students who had approved UCSC TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee) agreements, as well as many other transfers who appeared highly qualified and were transferring directly from a California community college."
Also…,
“Our mean GPA for transfer students admitted through 3/15/2018 was 3.38.” In case anyone wanted to better chance themselves. lol
someone told me it might be a mistake too because usually a good group of transfers hear at the listed time and that usually if you don’t hear at ur listed time the message in the message center changes. Like it won’t show the names or dates or times anymore it just says something like “decisions will be rolling until April 30th” or whatever.
Idk if the part about the message center is true but tbh it is really easy to make a system error like that. Like if someone was doing it on the computer and accidentally set the realeas time to pm instead of am… I don’t know if that’s really what happened but I guess it’s possible lol!
Checked again, haven’t got jack ***** from them. They’re messing with our feelings :)) here was what they sent a few days ago through email.
Dear M/N
Over the last few months, staff from the Office of Admissions have been thoroughly reviewing the over 11,000 applications we received from prospective transfer students. Thank you for your patience during this time.
In just a few days, we’ll be releasing our admission decisions. Beginning at midnight on March 17, you will be able to view your decision on the MyUCSC portal at my.ucsc.edu, according to the following schedule based on the first letter of your last name (all times below are Pacific Daylight Time):
A - C beginning at 12:00 a.m.
D - G beginning at 1:00 a.m.
H - K beginning at 2:00 a.m.
L - N beginning at 3:00 a.m.
O - S beginning at 4:00 a.m.
T - Z beginning at 5:00 a.m.
@HannaBrooks2 Oh I’m in the 4am group too but I also haven’t heard anything yet.
@jimzenn You shouldn’t worry too much the average admitted transfer GPA for this year (so far) was in the 3.3/3.4 range so I’m pretty sure you’ll get in lol
