UCSC or Community College

Dear all,

Please prove me some opinion to the question below. :(

Currently I'm admitted to UCSC as an Engineering student. However, if I have a chance I wish to study in UC Davis. I heard from many people that transferring from community college to UC contains risk! Especially for a technical major like Engineering. Could you guys help me out by sharing your opinion about transferring from community college to UC Davis? or anything that you think I have to understand.

Thank you all!

Sincerely,
Edward Liu

California Community Colleges (CCC) have priority, however UC’s are second on the list. I know of students that have transferred from UCSC to UCLA, so everything is possible if you have a good GPA. Also is takes a lot of time to take engineering courses at CCC’s because the classes are so packed. At least at UCSC you already an engineering major so you shouldn’t have a problem adding classes.
